Man. Only four days and already this advent has taken me places I have not been in a while in my spiritual life.
Todays readings are really important to me, as I continue to walk on this journey towards a deeper renewal of faith.
In the first reading, we hear of the Lord laying out a choice feast for ALL peoples (Isaiah 25:6-10a). In the Gospel we hear of Jesus multiplying the loaves and the fishes, and the fact that there was SO much food, the disciples were able to collect 7 whole baskets full of the scraps! (Matthew 15:29-37).
Personally (and I don’t know about you), this has been a crazy year for me. My soul seems to have this unquenchable thirst for peace. I just want to know where I am headed, and what He wants me to do.
But these readings give me hope. Not only does God want to give me all that I need, he wants to give it to me in abundance.
I just need to wait in quiet expectation upon the mercy of our loving Father, knowing that he is going to give me everything I need.
I hope today’s song leaves you refreshed and at peace, ready to cry out: Come Lord Jesus, Come.
