WOW! It’s been a hot second since I posted. Between work, finals (I got an A!) and family holidays, The Full Pursuit has been put on a back burner. I have missed it.
Anyways…. DRUMROLL PLEASE……
The Advent Project is HERE!
The Advent Project has been something I have attempted to do for several years now, but I have never really had the platform to make it work. I run out of time. I get sick. I become lazy. Do people really need an extra 3 minutes added to their day to pray?
More and more though, I have come to find the answer is YES. So this year, I present to you the first, official Advent Project.
In today’s gospel, Jesus tells us to stay awake and be ready. We do not know the hour when the time will come (Mark 13:33-37). We do not know the hour. But even in this there is great peace. For we know that as surely as the sun will rise, the Son of Man will come, in the form of a tiny infant ready to change our lives.
Advent is such a beautiful time of preparation. I hope that each day you can take a few minutes out of a busy schedule to pray with me. Join me on a journey of eager anticipation of the savior of the world. Each song that has been picked was picked specifically for the readings through out the course of Advent. Some will be obvious (as today’s is) and some were songs that struck me as fitting and gave new meaning to both the song and the scripture that I reflected on.
May the gentleness of the Infant Jesus melt you heart as He has melted mine, friends!
